Allah said in Qur’an “we sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an in order that you may learn wisdom”
(surah Yusuf)- verse 2.
Diacritics
When you start reading Quran you have to pay attention to diacritics because sometimes it can change the meaning of the verse completely, As for (Fatha-Dama-Kasra).
For example, let’s take a precise look at this verse “And an announcement from Allah and His Messenger, to the people (assembled) on the day of the Great Pilgrimage, that Allah and His Messenger dissolve (treaty) obligations with the Pagans” (surah Al-Tawba) -verse 3
When we are pronouncing the word messenger (the second one) in Arabic on the letter ݪ
(lam). We have to put (Dama) on it so it means that both Allah and messenger dissolve(treaty) with the pagans. If we put (kasra) on the same letter, them it will mean that Allah dissolve (treaty) with both (the messenger and the pagans). And of course, that’s wrong. And that’s not what Allah said.
That was just an example to show how important those diacritics are.
How listening can help you with reading Qur’an:
For non-native Arabic speakers, it’s very hard for them to know these diacritics by heart like natives, so they must listen to famous reciters and read exactly as they read, so they can avoid any mistake of that kind, but sure if they can have a chance to learn it, it will be much better for them.
Also, for non-native Arabic speakers, they should put more effort on their reading and pronunciation as each letter has its own sound and every letter is pronounced specifically from a certain part of the mouth.
Before reading Qur’an, you should do as Allah said in this verse “And when thou recitest the Qur’an, seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast” (surah Al-Nahl) -verse 98
Reading Qur’an is a way to worship Allah:
And while you are reading, remember that reading Qur’an is a way of worshiping Allah, so you must do it with your tongue and also your heart, and think of the meaning of the verses while reading it. Put your soul and emotion into reading the Qur’an and be humble when reading the words of Allah.
And before you start reading or touching the Qur’an you must purify yourself.
And remember that profit Mohamed said” Read the Koran, it will come on the Day of Resurrection to his companions as their intercessor.”
